Glazed bright and shiny!

September 27, 2016

After a long summer hiatus filled with travels visiting family and friends on both sides of the Atlantic, I'm so happy to be back in my studio again!

More and more beads in progress. Glazing in what looks like pastels, but will become bright, exciting color.

A new project in progress. Before and after color.

The stitching on paper continues, this time white on white.

I see the light and it is clear and focused. I am thrilled how my show has come together. And on top of that, the title is official- THESE CONSTELLATIONS.

Hit the ground running this year. Full-throttle making-  my upcoming show will open on Feb. 2nd. Theme will be constellations, but title is still up in the air.

More stitching. The back lighting shows where the thread is tied and gives another out-of-focus layer. And of course the stars are bright.

After the summer hiatus, getting back to studio work. Stitching on paper. The women series back on track. Reestablishing momentum.

The front side, black thread on black, shown here back-lit-- thinking stars, dot-to-dot, sewing cards, and nighttime.

The back side, black on white-- thinking embroidery samplers, start and stop, handiwork, and 'women's work.'
